I felt as though my first post was more that deserving to be centered around Trayvon Martin. I am aware that this is not the first case (or the last) of injustice to occur in the world, however, what makes this so rare, is the fact that his killer is free (based on a  Florida law that was introduced to us enabling Zimmerman to currently be free), the way the media continued to slander his name, jumped to idiotic and ignorant conclusions and tried to ignore that race is a VERY important aspect with this case. I think that we will NEVER know what went on that day but I just hope and pray that we get the justice that we deserve. And I understand that these tragedies occur at home before anything, and that is why I will make it my business, a priority to do everything I can to help the murders in Chicago and surrounding areas as much as I can. This case as impacted me and countless others in a major way. It has further fueled my ambition to create the change we would all like to see in ourselves.

Power.
